2008
- Junior Shawn Roberts set a new school recrod in the 800m by running a 1:54.46 at the OHSAA State Championship on Saturday June 7th.
- The 4x800m relay team of Eli Husfelt, senior, Corey Byron, senior, Shawn Roberts, junior, and Robbie Stoecklien, senior ran a 7:49.85 at the OHSAA Regional Track and Field Championship at Welcome Stadium on May 28th to set a new Region 4 Meet Record and qualify for the State Meet. This time moves the 2008 team into the third spot on the Elks Top 5 Board, jumping ahead of the 1986 and 1988 teams. The 2008 team is now less than a half second behind the 2007 team's #2 time on the Elks Top 5 Board.
- The 4x100m relay team of John Ehrensberger, sophomore, Matt Daly, junior, Michael Melchor, freshman, and Dan Godshall, senior ran 42.93 seconds at the Dayton Division I District Prelims to set a new school record. The 2008 team bumped ahead of the 1984 team by 0.11 seconds.
- Senior Robbie Stoecklein moved onto the Elks Top 5 Board for the 800m by running a 1:56.49 at the Greater Western Ohio Conference Championship Meet on Friday, May 17th.
- There was a lot of movement on the Elks Top 5 Board in the hammer throw on Saturday May 10th at the JV GWOC meet. Senior Anthony Scholes moved into second place on the board with a Junior National qualifying mark of 170'1". Anthony displaced Sophomore Justin Gomez, Gomez moved to third place, but improved his season PR by two feet with a heave of 166'0". Senior Nick Shea also moved onto the board in fourth place by throwing 165'3". Nick was excited to find out that he knocked off current head coach Matt Somerlot from the Elks Top 5 Board.
- Freshman Mike Bennett set the Elks Freshman Record in the shot put by throwing 48'5.5" at the WarriorElk Challange on May 6th, 2008. Bennett's throw broke Mike Hott's record of 47'2" set in 1995.
- David Sweeterman, senior, Nick Arnold, junior, and Bryan Miller, junior all cleared 14'0" in the Pole Vault at the Criss & Rita Somerlot Field Event Classic on April 30th, 2008. All three athletes are now tied for the fifth spot on the Elks Top 5 Boards.
