Directed
by Olympic bronze medalist and former world record holder Jan
Johnson. His SJVSC camps system is legendary for offering the finest,
most up to date teaching system possible in a high energy, fun
atmosphere.
Costs
Commuters
- $355 Includes instruction, insurance, T-shirt, booklet, and meals.
Does not include room.
Residents - $495 Includes all of the above,
plus room and board. Refunds subject to a $50 processing fee. No
refunds after June 14, 2010. Substitutes acceptable. No refunds if
dismissed for disciplinary or injury reasons.
APPLICATION
DEADLINE: June 14, 2010
Program
Three
sessions daily with small groups, several pits and large staff on
premises the entire camp. Variety of activities including vaulting,
gymnastics, imitative exercises, vaulting drills, videotaping,
strength and speed testing, age group competitions and other
recreational activities.
Housing
and Meals
Residents
will housed and fed at the Fairfield Inn Centerville.
Registration
A
check for $100 down payment should accompany your registration form.
The balance of your camp fee will be due at check-in. Participation
in the camp is available on first-come, first-serve basis.
Registration deadline is June 14, 2010. Upon receipt of your
application, you will be mailed a confirmation letter with detailed
instructions and camp information.
What
To Bring
Each
vaulter should bring his\her own helmet, poles, shoes, shorts,
sweats, towels, toiletries, pillow, sheets, blanket, alarm clock,
tape and extra spending money. Arrangements can be made to borrow
poles but it is best if you bring your own. Detailed information will
mailed to you upon receipt of your application.
Coaches
Education Program
Coaches
who participate in a Sky Jumpers Vaulting Camp either as a
participant or registered observer may qualify for our special
tuition waiver ($100) by contacting us 30 days prior to our camp.
Tuition waivers are limited to first come first serve basis only.
Coaches must be at least 21 years of age with a high school or
college coaching job.
Pole
Vault Coaching Certification
All
SJVSC camps are now formatted to so as to help their participants to
pass the new National Pole Vault Safety and Basic Skills and
certification course at www.pvscb.com. This course is designed for
both coaches and athletes.
Check
In
Both residents
and commuters should check in between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm Sunday
June 20, 2010 at the Centerville High School Track and Field
facilities near Dayton, Ohio. A map and directions will be sent to
you upon receipt of your application.
Departure
The
camp ends Wednesday June 23, at noon, please arrange your
transportation accordingly.
Location
and Transportation
Centerville
High School is located near Dayton, in west central Ohio. It is
easily accessible by Amtrak, bus, plane or auto. Please notify us if
you need ground transportation upon arrival or departure by calling
Centerville Sky

Sky
Jumpers Philosophy
We
take great pride in offering a wide variety of challenging vault
related activities in with expert instruction. We stress step by step
skill development with a safety first motto. Come prepared to make
huge gains in your vaulting. Camaraderie, self respect and good clean
fun are all important aspects of our system. Drugs, tobacco and
alcohol are not tolerated.

All
vaulter’s ages 12 and up.
