University of Florida Pepsi Relays
University of Florida Track & Field Complex
This is the premier meet in Florida and there will be over
50 college teams as well as 35 high schools competiting.
Friday April 4th & Saturday April 5th
Travel Party:
Matt Somerlot- head track coach
Jim Findlay- assistant track coach
Phillip Kirby- assistant track coach
Athletes- There will be 15 athletes traveling and they will
be chosen based on qualifying times (by March 1st)
Cost (total $450.00):
Plane tickets- approx $300.00 per person
Hotels- $120.00 per athlete (includes breakfast each day)
Van Rental: $30.00 per athlete
Food: based on per person's needs
** There are two fundraisers at City BBQ (2/26) and
Beef O'Bradys (3/10) that will offset each athletes cost
(all money will be split for each athlete- fliers sent home w/athletes)
Travel Dates & Times:
Wednesday April 2, 2008- fly to Jacksonville, FL
Thursday April 3, 2008- travel to University of Florida and pre meet
Friday April 4, 2008- Compete day 1 of the meet, tour campus after the meet
Saturday April 5, 2008- Compete day 2 of the meet and travel to Jacksonville
after the meet (about 8pm)
Sunday April 6, 2008- Fly home
