Centerville Captures GWOC Titles

Congratulations to the boys’ track and field team for winning both the GWOC Central Division and GWOC Conference titles this past week.  This is the boys’ team’s 4th consecutive GWOC title.

In the Division Meet, the following athletes were named GWOC 1st Team All-Division winning their events:  Dan McCoyHenry MurakamiCaleb AndreasonGarrett Morrison(4×800 relay), Keith BeasonDJ WalterDavin FlemingIfeadi Odenigbo (4×200 relay), Josh Steible (1600 and 3200 meters), Dan McCoy (400 meters), DJ Walter (200 meters), Cole BriggsGarrett MorrisonJarrett BriggsDan McCoy (4×400 relay), Jarrett Briggs (high jump), Benny McGowan (shot put). And named GWOC 2nd Team All-Division were: Ryan Larkin (1600 and 3200), Keith BeasonDJ WalterDavin FlemingIfeadi Odenigbo (4×100 relay), Garrett Morrison (400 meters), Benny McGowan (discus).  Named Division Special Mention were: DJ Walter (100 meters), Cole Briggs (300 meter hurdles), Garrett Morrison (800 meters), Keith Beason (200 meters), Zack Houck (pole vault).

And a big congratulations goes to Dan McCoy and Benny McGowan for being named Central Division Track Athletes of the Meet and Coach SomerlotCentral Division Coach of the Meet!

Next up, the boys will compete in the OHSAA District Championships this Wednesday and Friday at Welcome Stadium.
