Elks to State Indoor Championships

The boys track team has qualified another strong group of athletes to the indoor track & field championships this weekend at the University of Akron. 

Representing the Elks will be Zach Houck in the pole vault, Luke James in the 25 lb weight throw & Josh Steible in the 3,200 meters. For the 6th consecutive season the Elks will be taking a 4 x 800 relay team to state. This year’s relay team is made of Dan McCoy, Brian Kolpitcke, Garrett Morrison & Josh Steible, while the 4x400 team is qualifying for the 4th time in 5 years. That relay team is Nick Schlagheck, Cole Briggs, Jarrett Briggs & Dan McCoy. The Briggs twins become the first set of twins to qualify on the same relay in state indoor history. 

Field events start at 3:30 pm and running at 5:00 pm. You can follow all action live on finishtiming.com.
