Warrior Elk Race to Read Challenge will be part of Warrior Elk Meet on Wednesday May 2nd. All parents and athletes are asked to bring in or send in books that will be sent to Pajama's Program!!

Pajama Program provides new books and new pajamas to children in need, many who are waiting and hoping to be adopted. Many of the children we serve live in orphanages, children’s group homes, homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, hospitals, transitional housing facilities, government agency buildings (ACS) , and emergency relief sites.  Many have been abused or abandoned, and in many cases, have never enjoyed the simple comfort of having a mother or father tuck them into bed at night and read to them to encourage an early educational experience. The children have been removed from their home and school, leaving them without reading practice …and without any books at all. (http://pajamaprogram.org/WordPress/literacy)
