The 5th annual Warrior-Elk Race 2 Read Dual Track meet versus Wayne came down to the wire Wednesday evening, with Centerville taking top honors, winning both the boys competition (103.5 to 93.5) and girls competition (105 to 92) for 3rd straight victory & 4th in five years. However, the biggest winners were the kids at the Pajama Program, as both schools were able to collect over 1,800 books unofficially (with more to come, as I still need to collect from some of our elementary schools).

Thanks to the efforts of both coaching staffs at Wayne & Centerville, we were able to have over 200 kids compete and be involved in what is becoming the highlight of an outstanding track season. Attached are a few pictures from the meet. These are two of the biggest rivals in all sports, but the respect factor between the two schools in unmatched with any other schools. Our two schools displayed great sportsmanship before, during and after the races. You would be proud of the way that we represented Centerville HS and the city of Centerville on this night.

I hope to see you next week at Piqua as we try to win a 4th GWOC championship in a row!
